Telecom Apprentice

**Position Summary:** The Telecommunications Apprentice will participate in the installation or maintenance and inspection of telecommunication systems and associate process alongside a licensed Telecom Technician **Role and Responsibilities:** - Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites - Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients - Assist with installation of cable supports, through floor and wall sleeves, fire stopping materials - Assist with installation relays, cabinets, network switches - Assists with the termination of data, voice, coaxial, control, and fiber optic cables - Assist with installation cable trays above and below floors - Ability to work in small spaces - Test cables to TIA/EIA level II standards with cable analyzer and fiber test equipment **Essential Skills & Characteristics:** - Ability to work independently or as part of a team - Follow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers - Strict adherence to all safety rules and quality - Participate in site housekeeping - Interact with all co-workers and clients in an attentive courteous manner - Perform additional duties as directed by Management - At times may perform clerical/administrative duties **Educational & Experience Requirements:** - High School Diploma or relevant work experience - 0-4 years of Field Experience, trade school or apprenticeship - OSHA 10 certification *AZ Corporation is an employee owned, tobacco-free, equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate based on marital status, race, color, creed, gender, sex, religion, national origin, gender identity, age, veteran status, union affiliation, physical or mental disability, citizenship status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or other legally protected status*
