**Location:** Shadyside, PA **Pay:** $18/hour **Schedule:** Typically 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM during the school year and 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM during the summer; hours may vary. ## **Position Summary** The Teen Program Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of high-quality teen programming designed to promote academic success, leadership development, healthy lifestyles, workforce readiness, mentoring, and social-emotional growth. This role builds meaningful relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners while creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where teens can thrive. ## **Key Responsibilities** - Coordinate and facilitate engaging teen programming. - Support mentoring, workforce development, leadership, and social-emotional learning initiatives. - Develop activities that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, character development, and career readiness. - Build positive, supportive relationships with youth and families. - Create a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. - Support recruitment, retention, outreach, and community engagement efforts. - Maintain attendance records, program documentation, and case notes. - Collect program data and support outcome tracking and reporting. - Assist with special events, workshops, service projects, and teen activities. ## **Qualifications** - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Social Work, Youth Development, Recreation, or a related field preferred. - Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. - Minimum of two years of experience working with middle or high school-aged youth in an educational, recreational, community-based, or youth development setting preferred. - Minimum of one year of experience managing youth programs, education initiatives, workforce development programs, or community-based initiatives. ## **Preferred Skills** - Passion for working with adolescents and supporting positive youth development. - Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and restorative approaches. - Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. - Ability to engage youth from diverse backgrounds. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Experience collaborating with youth, families, schools, and community partners. - Proficiency with Google Workspace and other technology platforms. ## **Benefits** - Medical and dental insurance - 401(k) with company match - Generous paid time off - Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of local youth ## **Required Clearances** CPR/Pediatric First Aid, Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History, FBI Clearance, NSOR Certificate, TB Test, Mandated Reporter Training, and other required certifications must be obtained upon hire or within established timelines. **Who We Are** For over 135 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania (BGCWPA) has been a trailblazer in youth development, committed to unleashing the potential of every child.
