This role will support the Test Engineering team with hardware & software support. At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. We are working onsite a minimum of 4 days per week as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects. **Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:** - Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain test equipment, systems, hardware, and software - Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions - Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format - **Hardware Debug**: Perform board-level debugging and system bring up for development systems; identify, isolate, and document hardware issues - **Prototype System Assembly & Repair**: Assemble, repair, and rework prototype and engineering systems; validate functionality post-repair - **PCB Support**: Assist Hardware Engineers with PCB design and verification through schematic/BOM feedback and hands-on testing - **Basic App & Test Tools**: Use and support basic applications and test utilities for diagnostics, automation, and validation - **OOT Equipment Maintenance**: Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure high uptime and readiness. Support OOT (Out Of Tolerance) equipment analyses - **OCAP Hybrid Ops Support**: Provide front line repair and sustainment for OCAP (out of control action plan) hybrid operations systems; restore operational readiness - **Documentation**: Maintain accurate repair/debug records and support continuous improvement and cross team collaboration **Requirements:** - Requires minimum of 15 years of relevant experience. - Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries) For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. **Physical Job Requirements** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
