Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC

## Position Summary... You’ll be part of a team that collaborates to provide reactive and preventative maintenance for all supermarket equipment within your designated trades. As a technician, you’ll have a semi-independent work environment where you’ll service all HVAC/R supermarket equipment, both with and without support. This role requires self-motivation and the ability to complete tasks independently from start to finish while adhering to company protocols. The equipment you’ll be responsible for includes, but is not limited to: - Refrigeration: DX parallel racks, secondary and primary CO2, secondary glycol, self-contained units, RCUs, walk-in and reach-in coolers/freezers. - HVAC: RTUs, AHUs, exhaust fans - BMS: Sensors, controllers and lighting controls ## What you'll do... Ensures financial sustainability by compiling and reporting budget information requesting replacement HVACVR equipment for facilities submitting warranty claims reviewing journals and invoices conducting price comparisons of refrigerant parts and travelrelated costs and developing scopes of work for projects for example rooftop units condenser coil replacements Completes work assignments and priorities in heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration HVACR service by using HVACR policies data and resources collaborating with management coworkers customers and other business partners identifying HVACR priorities deadlines and expectations carrying out tasks communicating progress and information determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities and adapting to and learning from change difficulties and feedback Ensures compliance with applicable federal state and local HVACR industry regulations and guidelines for example building codes indoor air quality cold chain requirements by conducting inspections and making repairs Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in the Walmart HVACR safety policy and environmental guidelines and reclaiming ozonedepleting refrigerants Provides required paperwork by completing and submitting forms for example expense vouchers summaries refrigerant logs work orders Ensures available resources for HVACR maintenance and repair by managing refrigerant levels and parts inventory recording HVACVR purchases and usage tracking and ordering HVACVR parts and developing relationships with HVACVR parts suppliers and contractors Ensures working order of HVACR and EMS and direct digital control by troubleshooting diagnosing maintaining and repairing equipment performing major and minor preventive maintenance and managing district workloads with external service providers Demonstrates uptodate expertise and applies this to the development execution and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs and building commitment for perspectives and rationales Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders identifying business needs determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices monitoring progress and results recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities and adapting to competing demands organizational changes and new responsibilities Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission values and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans using the Open Door Policy and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices Respect the Individual: Demonstrates and encourages respect for others drives a positive associate and customermember experien…
