## Description **POSITION SUMMARY** Technician – CMO/YDP primarily provides one-to-one support for youth and adult persons served with behavioral health needs in accessing services in the Community Medication Outreach and youth psychosocial programs by maximizing opportunities for them to become more self-sufficient over time and to maintain or gain independence in the community to meet their personal life goals for a healthy life. Reporting to the Team Manager of IHSS/CMO, this position ensures high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive service delivery consistent with the mission and standards of Astra Mental Health and Recovery, a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). The Technician promotes service excellence, professional growth, and accountability of daily operations and services in collaboration with Program and Team Managers. This role also supports Astra’s commitment to Access, Comprehensive Care, Excellent Outcomes, and Sustainability. This position requires flexibility when youth psychosocial youth group program schedule changes in the summer months. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** **Service Expectations and Responsibilities** - Work with building social skills, coping skills, medication management, symptom management, boundaries, crisis prevention, and self-care via Attendant Care, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Crisis Interventions. - Observation of medication for CMO program and reconciling the medication carts. - Education and support during transportation to/from youth psychosocial groups. - Backing and supporting the Drivers. This will include driving the routes in the event there is no Driver coverage. - Coordinate treatment needs of services with the treatment team regarding treatment planning, evidence-based practices, and documentation. - Provide crisis intervention as needed - Support the implementation of Astra’s trauma-informed and person-centered care framework across all Community Support Services. - Maintain compliance with CCBHC, KDADS, and Medicaid standards for assessment, treatment, and documentation. - Safely operate company vehicles and ensure proper use of seat belts, booster seats, or child restraints according to age and size requirements. - Assist with data collection, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives to promote clinical and operational excellence. - Promote interdisciplinary collaboration with case management, access, medical, and crisis services to support continuity of care. - Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations, including confidentiality, safety, and risk management protocols. **Other Duties** - Demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence - Approach interactions with individuals served and colleagues with a trauma sensitive lens - Acts as an ambassador of the agency in the community setting. - Support and actively promote the vision and mission of the agency and the philosophy of the strength’s perspective - Complete required agency and department trainings. - Complete all assigned duties each shift, both written and implied. - Other duties as assigned, as qualified and trained for. **POSITION QUALIFICATIONS** # Experience: - Minimum of one (1) years providing services in behavioral health or human service field. - Prefer prior experience transporting children preferred (school bus, daycare, camp, etc.). - Must be proficient in basic computer skills, keyboarding and word processing skills - Must have good command of the English language; must be able to read, communicate clearly and therapeutically with persons served and staff, both verbally and in writing, in a professional manner. - Successful completion of criminal background check and DCF Child & Adult Abuse Registry check, and other applicable background investigations. - Possess a valid Kansas driver's license, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and good driving record. # **KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:** - Effective communication skills (verbal and written)…
