TIAG is now hiring a **Technical SME & Control Systems Engineer** to support our Operational Technology practice. This full-time role will contribute to the growth, technical excellence, and strategic direction of the OT and Control Systems Practice at TIAG. The Technical SME will lead the design and implementation of critical infrastructure automation in collaboration with our Business Unit Executives and TIAG Directors. As Technical SME, position responsibilities include: - Evolving the organization’s strategy for industrial automation and SCADA systems. This includes transitioning towards modern, resilient architectures—specifically migrating from server-based polling to robust PLC-based polling—and ensuring that all offerings meet evolving cybersecurity and safety standards for industrial environments. - Help to identify and secure new opportunities in the OT space, with a focus on large-scale SCADA and industrial control system (ICS) contracts. You will lead technical demonstrations and support proposal development by shaping requirements. Your role includes providing the technical "vision" for future bids. - Support oversight of OT Program Execution - Provide high-level technical governance over active projects. This includes: - Design Authority: Conducting and approving design reviews for the overall SCADA system architecture. - Talent Leadership: Partnering with Operations Directors to screen and interview Control Systems Engineers and OT specialists. - Mentorship: Providing direct technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers to ensure the successful delivery of complex logic flow diagrams and polling driver designs. - Customer Interaction & Onsite Performance - Interact with current and potential customers to frame requirements for future system upgrades and new builds. Direct contract responsibilities require expertise across traditional and evolving domains, including SCADA Architecture, Industrial Networking, Protocol Integration, Safety & Redundancy. - 10+ years of extensive professional experience across relevant BAS, ICS, and SCADA platforms and their integration points (IT/OT convergence). - Expert in control system design and optimization - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field - Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
