About Lendable Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start: One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK Profitable since 2017 Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot ) So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance . We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days. We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes. Join us if you want to Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1 Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo Build the best technology in-house , using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting About the role We're building a larger, dedicated Platform team at Lendable to reinvest in infrastructure after a deliberate trade-off earlier in the year prioritised new product development. Platform work has been largely invisible to leadership, and without commercial and prioritisation accountability it's been hard to prioritise effectively or connect engineering effort to customer and revenue outcomes. That's changing. We're hiring a Technical PM to sit within engineering and own the intersection between platform infrastructure and commercial value - not a traditional feature PM, not a people manager and not a project manager: you set priorities, not schedules. The TPM is a commercially accountable IC who owns platform stability and outcomes, embedded in the engineering team. The core tension you'll resolve: platform engineers make decisions without enough business context; product teams don't always understand what platform work enables or what it costs to defer it. You own both sides of that translation. This is an IC role with hands-on technical contribution expected, writing code, reviewing PRs, participating in architecture design. That credibility with senior engineers isn't optional; it's how the role works. You'll partner closely with the Platform Engineering Manager (who owns people and delivery) and the Platform Tech Lead (who owns technical direction and standards). You set what we build and why; they set how the team runs and how it's built. You and the EM are tightly coupled and work from one shared roadmap: you set and sequence priorities, the EM commits capacity and delivery against them. What you'll be doing Own platform stability Own platform stability as a primary accountability - SLA/SLO metrics, incident rates, release quality. Hold release gating authority: block features from production that don't meet testing standards or introduce unacceptable regression risk. Enforce CI/CD standards centrally so pods don't fragment into one-off solutions. Track and report stability metrics alongside commercial outcomes - stability is the foundation that makes the rest possible. Be commercially accountable Own the business case for platform investment and answer "why are we spending six engineers on this for three months?" in terms leadership understands. Track platform impact in business terms: developer velocity, incident cost, time-to-market, reliability, capacity - e.g. "CXO rollout removes a 3-second API fan-out, reducing session abandonment" or "we can now handle 20k simultaneous logins". Input into headcount and investment decisions for the platform team. Own the platform…
