As a **Technical Officer - Intern (SMC-HK)** at **BSM,** you will be responsible for supporting the Technical Superintendent in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of vessels. This role plays a critical part in bridging ship and shore activities by coordinating services and maintaining compliance with technical and safety standards. **Key Responsibilities** - Monitor monthly vessel reports and follow up on analysis reports for lubricating oil, bunker, boiler, and cooling water, highlighting deviations for corrective action. - Maintain vessel certification records and collate data for owners’ reports. - Arrange services and repairs, including annual surveys and routine servicing of vessel equipment, and liaise with classification societies as required. - Ensure service arrangements are carried out by approved vendors, issue purchase orders, and follow up on service delivery to avoid cost overruns. - Coordinate port service planning and logistics for each vessel call. - Utilize relevant systems to manage purchasing, certification, and voyage planning, providing feedback for system improvements. **Qualifications & Experience** - Junior student in University and will graduate in 2027 with good oral and written English skills. - Bachelor Degree in Business or Accounting, or equivalent or Second mate/Third Engineer license **Skills & Competencies** - Strong knowledge of vessel technical requirements and voyage regulations. - Advanced understanding of the local and regional market for technical subcontractors. - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. - Strong organizational and project management abilities. - Fluency in English and proficiency in PC applications.
