Cottingham & Butler is seeking a Technical Insurance Trainer to strengthen the expertise, confidence, and performance of our Property & Casualty teams. In this impactful role, you will design and deliver training programs that support onboarding, technical development, and long‑term growth across our commercial P&C organization. As the expert guiding our internal learning strategy, you’ll partner closely with leaders and subject matter experts to build a modern, scalable curriculum that stays aligned with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and evolving client needs. What You’ll Do Build and lead the technical training curriculum for our commercial P&C teams—from onboarding to continuing development. Partner with leaders and internal SMEs to define core technical competencies for each role. Deliver training through virtual, in‑person, and self‑paced formats. Work in collaboration with the Producer Academy to ensure training content is aligned and streamlined across learning initiatives. Measure training effectiveness and continuously improve content based on feedback and outcomes. Stay current on industry, regulatory, and market trends to keep training accurate and relevant. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Experience participating in or facilitating insurance brokerage training programs. Background in commercial insurance brokerage operations. Strong understanding of P&C insurance fundamentals—including underwriting, coverages, and risk management. Experience designing or delivering technical training in a corporate or professional services environment. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, and virtual training tools such as Microsoft Teams. Experience with instructional design tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate) is a plus.
