Whether you are a teacher, an administrator, or a potential support staff employee, if you want to make a difference, we want to hear from you. **Job Summary** Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and components with general, technical, and administrative supervision from an assigned supervisor. Work is reviewed periodically on a project basis. **What you will do** - Performs work associated with work orders, read/interpret blue prints and schematics, inspects work and keeps all necessary records to ensure quality work. - Maintains and orders supplies as needed to ensure necessary supplies are consistently available for routine operation, keeps accurate records and reports on work progress to ensure cost efficient department operations. - Establishes and maintains working relationships with other; organizes and prioritizes work effectively. - Installs electrical system components (e.g. lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, circuits, scoreboards, timers, street signs, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities - Communicates with building customers on status of repairs. - Knowledge of computer operations **Education Qualifications** - High School Diploma or GED Required **Skills and Abilities** - Active Listening. - Learning Strategies. - Troubleshooting. - Equipment Selection. - Repairing. - Judgement and Decision Making. - Time Management. - Coordination - Working knowledge of electrical and maintenance systems. ### About the Company At Metro Nashville Public Schools, we use detailed academic, behavior and social-emotional data to ensure every student in the district is known and our staff makes a concerted effort to tune into students' interests, passions, learning styles and needs.
