## Description **POSITION SUMMARY** The Team Manager of Food Service oversees daily food service operations to ensure high-quality meal preparation, excellent customer service, and compliance with health and safety standards for the agency’s three kitchens. This role coordinates staff, manages inventory, budget, and supports the efficient functioning of the food service environment. This position will plan weekly menus and help to prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for agency programs. This position would have oversight for agency kitchens to ensure all food served meets CACFP and SFSP standards. During times when primary responsibilities are limited, staff may be asked to assist in other areas as needed to support overall operations, regardless of the specific role. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** - Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the activities of food service staff. - Train new employees in food preparation, service protocols, sanitation, and workplace safety. - Monitor staff performance and provide feedback or corrective actions when needed. - Ensure that food quality, presentation, and portion control meet company standards. - Assist with food preparation and service during busy periods. - Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation according to health regulations. - Maintain a clean and safe work environment by enforcing hygiene and safety procedures. - Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering food, supplies, and equipment. - Check deliveries for accuracy and quality. - Reduce waste by tracking and managing stock rotation. - Maintain employee records such as schedules, attendance, and training logs. - Coordinate with ECIP and YDP program managers regarding psychosocial group lunch and snack programs. - Completing all required paperwork for CACFP and SFSP in a timely manner. - Attending any CACFP or SFSP required trainings. - Organizing the food storage area including the walk-in freezer and refrigerator to ensure compliance with licensing standards. - Planning and overseeing the in-house catering for special events such as board and foundation lunches. - Helping and overseeing the kitchen clean up, organization, and maintenance. - Respect and demonstrate the ability to maintain individuals served confidentiality. - Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills to achieve a positive relationship internally and externally. - Participate in applicable meeting(s) as needed to maintain regular communication and ensure proper procedural flow is occurring between other departments within the agency. - Establish appropriate and professional boundaries with all individuals. Treat individuals with Dignity and Respect at all times. - Consistently demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team as well as individually.
