Past teaching experience preferred REPORTS TO: Principal JOB GOAL: To work with small groups of identified children to improve their skills and provide direct instruction and strategies for intervention. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: May be assigned to work in lab, in-classroom setting or separate classroom location. Works with identified students and may be part of deployment, in-class instruction or small group pull-out. Works cooperatively with teachers and site support staff. Performs directed teaching, diagnosing and planning, and intervention. Ability to be flexible and work independently, self-starter. Attends professional development as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be according to Teacher-Tutor schedule (maximum of 135 days during the school year); teacher salary schedule SALARY: Salary and work year to be according to current teacher salary schedule prorated to assigned hours. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the District's "Improvement of Professional Services" handbook, Board Policies and Procedures and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicable.
