POSITION: TEACHER ON ASSIGNMENT � DISCIPLINE / PBIS COACH LOCATION: YULEE MIDDLE SCHOOL WORK YEAR: 216 Days (11-Months) CONTACT: Jonathan Goodwin SALARY RANGE: $58,343.43 - $69,270.56 Entry Level Salary Schedule (0-30 years of experience) QUALIFICATIONS: (1) Hold an active Florida Educator's Certificate. (2) Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience. (3) Demonstrated leadership ability, high energy, and enthusiasm. (4) Master's Degree (preferred) (5) Florida Educator's Leadership Exam (preferred) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. • Ability to motivate diverse students and cultivate a strong culture of achievement. • Knowledge of laws, rules, and policies related to student discipline and attendance. • Proficiency in using technology for data analysis, communication, and administrative tasks. • Ability to apply principles of group dynamics, conflict resolution, and problem-solving. • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and decision-making skills. • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families. • Understanding of PBIS frameworks and ability to implement tiered behavioral supports. REPORTS TO: Principal SUPERVISES: N/A JOB GOAL To create and maintain a safe, orderly, and engaging school environment that enables students to achieve maximum benefit from all programs and services through proactive, positive behavior support systems. PLANNING / PREPARATION *(1) Develop long- and short-term plans based on student needs and district priorities. *(2) Assist in developing and maintaining a school-wide philosophy of discipline and PBIS. *(3) Plan and conduct safety programs and drills, including follow-up documentation. *(4) Prepare intervention strategies to support a safe and orderly environment. *(5) Lead PBIS team meetings and support school-wide behavior expectations. *(6) Assist in identifying curriculum and service needs. STUDENT BEHAVIOR / MANAGEMENT *(7) Supervise and monitor student behavior and follow up on incidents, including SESIR reporting. *(8) Process discipline referrals and enforce school rules and policies. *(9) Maintain discipline and attendance records. *(10) Conduct investigations and due process procedures. *(11) Recommend disciplinary actions including suspension or expulsion in coordination with the principal. *(12) Support safe student transportation by handling bus discipline referrals. ASSESSMENT / MANAGEMENT *(13) Use PBIS data to identify trends and adjust behavioral supports accordingly. *(14) Analyze student data to inform discipline and PBIS practices. *(15) Access individual student records as appropriate to assess academic and behavioral progress. *(16) Observe and interview students individually and in groups for evaluation and improvement purposes.
