Position: Teacher, Electives Salary Schedule/Base Annual Rate (Subject to Change): $54,540 (Amount is pro-rated based on work schedule). Additional credit for related years of service and education. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supports the Mission, Vision, and Goals of J.O. Combs Unified School District Facilitates CTE student organization activities and operations Seeks community support and resources for CTE program advisory council Provides students with work-based learning experiences related to the CTE program. Complies with Arizona revised statutes, district policies and administrative guidelines. Provides documentation for Local, Federal and State program reporting. Promotes and follows the adopted school district philosophy, policies, regulations, and administrative procedures Creates a weekly written lesson plan describing daily learning experiences that are correlated with the objectives in the curriculum guide and/or course outline Maintains the physical environment of the classroom for organization and maximum instruction opportunities Communicates objectives to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language Uses effective teaching techniques and materials to implement established curriculum goals and objectives Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs Implements a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives Uses multiple assessment methods to monitor and assess student progress to adjust instruction and provide feedback on a regular basis to students and their parents.
