We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for part-time certified Tai Chi Instructors in Orange County. This role is an opportunity to inspire and empower members by delivering engaging, safe, and effective group exercise classes. This position will look to foster genuine connections, practice exceptional hospitality, and create a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Tai Chi Instructor will help to promote healthy lifestyles and reflects our commitment to community well-being. **Work Schedule:** Looking for instructors available to teach early morning classes. Availability between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM is preferred. **Purpose and Impact:** - **Inspire Healthy Lifestyles:** - Motivate participants to achieve wellness goals and model positive habits. - **Foster Community and Inclusion:** - Create welcoming spaces and build meaningful connections that enhance member experience. - **Ensure Program Excellence:** - Deliver engaging, safe, and high-quality classes aligned with organizational standards. - **Maintain Safety and Standards:** - Uphold safety regulations and ensure proper care of equipment and facilities. **Minimum Qualifications:** - **Minimum Age:** 21+ years old. - **Education & Experience:** - Preferred: Two- or four-year degree in health, exercise science, recreation, or physical activity-related field. - Coursework in human anatomy, exercise physiology, and kinesiology preferred. - Up to 2 years of experience in aerobic/anaerobic and strength conditioning required. - Related background in health and/or fitness. - Experience teaching Tai Chi strongly preferred. - **Certifications:** - Tai Chi Certification required. - First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA). **Benefits & Perks: Invested in You** - **FREE** YMCA Membership, Classes, and Pool Access. - **FREE** ClubConnect membership with access to continuing education, professional certifications, and valuable fitness resources. - **FREE** Virtual Health Care Solutions (Teledoc). - Program Discounts. - Retirement Fund - Paid Sick Time.
