Systems Analyst/Developer JobID: 468 Position Type: Technology Date Posted: 7/15/2026 Location: Technology Center Additional Information: Show/Hide POSITION TITLE: Systems Analyst/Developer, full-time, with benefits SALARY: $79,312 annually PURPOSE STATEMENT The purpose of the Systems Analyst/Developer is to analyze requirements for database solutions; develop, implement, maintain database integrations and interfaces; streamline processes; collaborate on database administration; develop reporting solutions; develop automations between internal and/or external systems; document system components, processes end user instructions; serve as product owner for multiple applications; and serve as a technical advisor to staff and other district personnel for enterprise application data. REPORTS TO: Lead Systems Analyst/Developer ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Builds and maintains positive working relationships with all stakeholders (e.g. team members, vendors and other departments) for the purpose of working collaboratively towards district goals and ensuring open channels of communication. Collaborates in the design of a variety of hosted and cloud database processes (e.g. logical data models, structures, data warehousing, security, jobs, scripts and stored procedures, etc.) for the purpose of providing end users with access to accurate data. Collaborates with the Network and Infrastructure group on database administrative functions (tuning, backup, recovery) for the purpose of ensuring the security and stability of district databases. Collaborates with the Technology Projects and Training group for the purpose of communicating effectively with staff, students and parents as well as providing training on the proper use of new and/or existing software. Coordinates the integration of data with other technology teams and/or external vendors, for the purpose of ensuring efficient and streamlined services. Designs, develops, and maintains automated workflows to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery. Develops a wide variety of complex materials (e.g. instructions, notices, reminders, memos, technical standards, security policies, training materials, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing references and/or conveying information. Develops ETL processes for reporting/data warehouse solutions for the purpose of interfacing various data sources and enhancing district reporting capabilities. Develops integrations and automations between internal and external software applications for the purpose of providing timely and accurate data exchange. Develops reporting and business intelligence (BI) solutions for the purpose of providing accurate, integrated information to support data-driven decision making. Ensures change management processes and effective communication methods are utilized for the purpose of accurately disseminating information related to application changes. Ensures district applications are monitored, maintained, updated, and supported through preventative maintenance practices for the purpose of optimizing performance and reliability. Establishes and utilizes application testing environments for the purpose of validating functionality and ensuring solutions meet defined requirements before production implementation. Participates in meetings, workshops and/or training for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions and stay up to date on the latest best practices. Participates in the migration/upgrade process of district databases for the purpose of ensuring continued functionality and compatibility with new and/or existing systems. Performs a variety of department activities as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the security and reliable operation of district databases.
