Job Summary: The Pool Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and proper use of the community pool area. This position helps enforce pool rules, monitors resident and guest activity, and reports any safety concerns, maintenance issues, or rule violations to management. Important Note: Pool Monitors are not lifeguards and are not responsible for water rescues. Their role is to observe, enforce community rules, and contact emergency services when necessary. Schedule: Part-time hours on weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed during pool season. Supervisory Responsibilities: - None Duties/Responsibilities: - Monitor the pool area to ensure residents and guests follow all community pool rules. - Check pool access credentials as required by property policies. - Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all pool users. - Observe pool activities and immediately report emergencies, accidents, or unsafe behavior. - Perform routine inspections of the pool deck, furniture, gates, and surrounding areas. - Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, vandalism, or cleanliness issues to management. - Ensure pool capacity limits and guest policies are followed. - Keep the pool area free of trash and notify staff when supplies need replenishing. - Document incidents, rule violations, and resident concerns as directed. - Assist with opening and closing procedures for the pool area. Required Skills/Abilities: - Strong customer service and communication skills. - Ability to remain attentive and observant for extended periods. - Ability to enforce rules professionally and consistently. - Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Education and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Previous customer service, security, or pool monitoring experience preferred but not required. Physical Requirements: - Standing and walking for extended periods. - Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. - Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
