Survey Party Chief

Weaver Consultants Group is looking for a Survey Party Chief to join our land surveying department in Naperville, IL. The position will include field work, serving primarily the Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana, and Southeast Wisconsin areas with occasional out of state projects. The ideal person for this position seeks a fast paced, challenging environment, a place to grow and improve skills, and a collaborative environment that is conducive to the development of personal skills. **Responsibilities:** - Primary responsibilities are the execution of survey field tasks assigned, and will include, but not be limited to, management and implementation of land surveying field activities such as: - Boundary and ALTA surveys. - Building and construction layout. - Topographies. - Mentor and coach other junior survey staff. - Represent Weaver on various projects in the field. - Manage field data. - Upkeep of truck and equipment. **Qualifications** - Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a qualified crew chief. - Flexible schedule for overtime. - Availability for occasional short-term travel. - FAA Part 107 Certification highly preferred. - Hands on experience with Trimble Survey equipment, or other types of similar equipment. - Interest in learning UAV (drone) piloting.
