Surgical Technologist / Operating Room / Full Time

Provides patient care duties perioperatively for patients of all ages, infants through adults under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Serves primarily as a scrub technologist. Also functions as a surgical assistant and/or assistant to the circulating nurse. **Summary of Performance Expectations** Provides patient care duties perioperatively for patients of all ages, infants through adults under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Also functions as a surgical assistant and/or assistant to the circulating nurse. **Education and Credentials:** **Required:** Graduate of accredited program of Surgical Technology, military experience, recent experience as a surgical technologist, or two years of clinical surgical technology experience at Catawba Valley Medical Center with no degree. **Preferred:** BCLS certification from the American Heart Association. **Work Experience:** **Required:** Demonstrated ability to function as a surgical assistant in multiple specialties.
