We are seeking a **PRN Registered Nurse (RN)** to join our **Surgery Department**. This is a great opportunity to work in our highly respected operating room alongside talented surgeons specializing in **orthopedic, general, urology, and podiatry procedures**, while expanding your perioperative nursing experience. - Provide professional nursing care in the Operating Room, Procedure Room, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Same Day Surgery areas - Assist with patient scheduling, pre-operative education, and pre-op preparation - Perform IV insertion, medication administration, specimen collection, and vital sign monitoring - Serve as OR circulator and assist with operative procedures and anesthesia - Scrub for surgical procedures and maintain sterile fields - Prepare, handle, and deliver sterile instruments and supplies - Process and sterilize instruments and supplies in accordance with hospital policies and manufacturer guidelines - Provide guidance and direction to non-licensed staff as appropriate - Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies, standards, and physician preferences ## Requirements - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - Current **Iowa RN license** in good standing - Current **BLS, ACLS, and PALS** certifications - **AORN, NISE**, or other perioperative certifications preferred or willingness to obtain - Minimum of one year of operating room experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
