Surface Grinder Operator

## Overview **FAIR-RITE PRODUCTS CORP. - LOCATED IN WALLKILL, NEW YORK** **We are expanding our grinding team!** **We are looking to add a member to our team of Surface Grinding Operators on day shift.** **Days and Hours:** Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm **Benefits for Full Time Employees:** - Salary Range: $20.90/hr - $23.39/hr dependant on expereince - Medical, Dental and Vison insurance - FSA/HRA - 401(k) plan with Employer Match - Paid Vacation - Paid Sick Time - Employee Assistance Program ## Responsibilities **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Perform entry level of skill for set-up, monitor, operate and adjust grinding machines, such as the Gallmayer grinder, Blanchard grinder, Abplanalp grinder or Lapping machines - Basic level of knowledge of choosing proper grinding machine as specified by WOP. - Follow proper procedures for machine set-up and adjustment. - Wash ferrite cores and place in oven. - Must learn or be able to check size of parts periodically using appropriate tools as stated in the work instructions - Must learn or be able to read micrometer, caliper, dial indicator tools and plot measurements, checking for consistency. - Must learn or be able to interpret readings - Must learn or be able to inspect parts under microscope to assure a quality product. - Complete basic paperwork specified in Work Order Packet including measurements from pre-control forms - Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary - Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified - Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the Fair-Rite Safety and Health Policy. ## Qualifications **Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:** - High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) - 1 – 3 months on the job training and or experience **Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:** - Vocational / Technical Education or Technical Training Certificate - 3 months on the job training and or experience **Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. - Ability to operate all grinding machines and instruments - Ability to write simple correspondence - Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations - Ability to work under minimal or no supervision - Good hand-eye coordination - Ability to operate CMS / ERP system effectively - PC / Computer skills are recommended - Ability to use the tool data collection / SPC - Good spatial perception ## Company Website WWW.FAIR-RITE.COM ## Company Profile Fair-Rite Products Corp. is a family-owned business that was formed in 1952 in Wallkill, New York USA.
