Supportive Housing Coordinator

## Overview The Supportive Housing Coordinator (Scattered Sites) will be directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Erie County Supportive Housing program. Why work for DePaul? - **Make a positive difference in someone's life** - **Supportive work environment** - **We value diversity** - **Opportunity for professional development and career advancement** - **Excellent benefits and competitive wages** - **Pay range for this position is $24-$24.90/hour based on experience.** ## Responsibilities - Assist in training all Supportive Housing staff. - Assist tenants in securing a safe and affordable apartment of their choice. - Provide support to the tenant with establishing and maintaining utilities. - Provide support and assistance to the tenant to complete linkages in the community to encourage and maintain independence. - Assist with interviews of prospective staff in conjunction with the Director. - Document all visits and client contacts in the tenant’s record for Supportive Housing. - Provide teaching, monitoring and recovery-oriented supports as needed in the areas associated with living independently. - Work with tenant and their service providers to provide regular ongoing support. - Collects monthly statistical data on all tenants and report that information to the Director. - Works with the Director to build relationships with the Community Service Providers (ex; attend SPOA, Interagency, etc.). - Adheres to program budgets and ensures that all requests for program spending is complete and - Respects and maintains resident confidentiality and demonstrates a caring, positive attitude toward all residents, staff, guests, and service providers. - Ensure that all Supportive Housing staff practices person-centered practices and demonstrates a positive, caring demeanor when working with tenants. - Assist with regular staff meetings, review of Support Plans, and conduct internal chart audits to confirm continued compliance with OMH and HUD regulations. - Follows all safety rules and regulations for self and others including the provision of two person visits when indicated. - Ensure that all new tenants apply for HUD/Section 8 housing. - Perform any other duties necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the program. ## Qualifications **Education & Experience:** - Preferably a 4-year degree in Human Services and at least one-year related supervisory experience or a combination of education and experience, which meets QMHS status as defined by OMH. - In addition to the above criteria this position also requires a clean NYS driving record as outlined in DePaul’s personnel policy. The use of one’s personal vehicle is also a requirement. **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
