**Title:** **Support at Home Caregiver** **Department:** Employment Training & Economic Development **FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt **Reports To:** Business Operations Manager **Summary:** The Support at Home Program Caregiver provides non-medical, in-home assistance to eligible older adults and adults with disabilities, helping them maintain their independence and continue living safely in their homes. Caregivers assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), light housekeeping, and companionship services as outlined in individualized care plans. **Essential Functions:** - Assists clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. - Provides light housekeeping, including laundry, dishwashing, and tidying living areas. - Prepares and serves meals according to clients’ dietary needs and preferences. - Provides companionship and emotional support to reduce social isolation. - Accompanies clients to appointments, errands, or recreational activities as needed. - Monitors and reports changes in clients’ health, behavior, or living conditions to the Supervisor. - Follows care plans and schedules as directed by the Support at Home Program team. - Maintains accurate records of hours worked and tasks completed. - Adheres to safety protocols and confidentiality requirements. - Performs other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or GED preferred. - Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience, preferably with older adults or individuals with disabilities. - CPR/First Aid certification preferred. (or willingness to obtain upon hire). - Ability to follow written and oral instructions. - Reliable, punctual, compassionate, and respectful. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Must pass health screening for TB clearance. - Familiar with different patient transferring techniques. Must pass a strength test for physical fitness for the job: able to lift up to 40lbs from floor to waist level. - Must be able to travel via public transportation or personal vehicle for the performance of job duties.
