Supply Chain Manager, Raw Materials

What to Expect We are looking for a skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to join our direct procurement team, supporting our manufacturing operations through the direct sourcing of raw materials. These will include specific commodities related to our in-house and Tier 1 partner operations. This role will report to our Supply Chain Group Manager and in parallel may be an active sourcing resource supporting our various Engineering groups within Tesla. What You’ll Do Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiated Drive raw material price negotiation process to ensure that Tesla’s commodity pricing meet best-In-class expectations, while meeting supplier industrialization standards of best-In-class quality, in addition to driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad-hoc price negotiations Address all areas of category management including category business plans, market conditions, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies, developing corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews Lead cross-functional teams to manage project timelines including developing and maintaining action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools related to on-time delivery of supplier materials against Program timing Ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and influence timely decisions with key stakeholders to support our mission What You’ll Bring Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Chemistry, and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, commodity management, or in an engineering or manufacturing environment Excellent negotiator Ability to travel up to 25% of the time Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $82,800 - $189,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
