Supervisor, Recreation Facilities

Assists with the coordination of administrative and/or operational functions of an organizational unit under the supervision of a manager or director. May assist in supervising and/or providing guidance to employees or be responsible for the management of programs, initiatives or events. To be defined ### Responsibilities Customer Service: Provides outstanding customer service to students, members and guests of the university, and leads all student staff in this regard by example and instruction. (10%) Supervision of Staff: Under the direction of the Facilities Manager; hires, trains, and provides oversight of student cashiers, student access attendants, student equipment check-out attendants, and others working at the Student Recreation and Sports Complex. (20%) Financial Transactions: Assists Facilities Manager as needed to provide point-of-sale operations at the Student Recreation and Sports Complex. (5%) Event Coordination: Provides oversight of events taking place in the Student Recreation and Sports Complex and the Finch Center. Ensures the safety of all participants and that events are carried out according to predetermined processes and agreements. Reports outcomes and issues to the Facilities Manager. (20%) Facility Security: Oversees facility access processes. Ensures all areas of the Student Recreation and Sports Complex are secure at all times of operation and during events. Operates the computer access system and troubleshoots any issues that may arise. Ensures all who access the facility are valid students, members, or approved guests of the university. (20%) Safety and Emergency Response: Monitors all areas of the Student Recreation and Sports Complex and the Finch Center, in order to maintain a safe environment. Serves as first responder in emergency situations, making decisions and taking action per established procedures rooted in safety training. Completes incident reports following established University and departmental processes. (20%) Other duties as assigned. (5%) ### Qualifications Associate degree and three (3) years of experience.
