Every employee at Donor Network of Arizona is responsible for embracing the organizational culture by upholding the Donor Network of Arizona’s core values of Positive Energy, Passion, and Eagerness. ## Job Description ***About the Supervisor, Organ Preservation*** The Supervisor, Organ Preservation assists the Manager, Organ Utilization in facilitating the day-to-day operations of the Preservation Coordinator (PC) team. The supervisor will assist in the daily supervision, training and performance evaluation of the Preservation Coordinators. This position is responsible for leading the organ preservation staff in efforts to maximize donation and organs transplanted per donor. The supervisor is also responsible for assisting the Clinical Education team with developing and implementing all aspects of the PC staff training and continued professional development. This includes, but is not limited to, onboarding, didactic and clinical training, revising training materials, and coordinating training activities of new PCs and continuing education activities. The supervisor is also responsible for the duties of the Preservation Coordinator role. This includes overseeing the living-related donation coordination and preservation process, and medical research and education. The supervisor is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining the call schedule, including PTO requests. ***\* Must have organ preservation / perfusion experience, and hold current industry certification – CTP or CPTC*** ***\* Must live within the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area or be willing to relocate. This is not a remote position.*** ***Essential Duties & Responsibilities*** 1. Supervises Preservation Staff - Supports hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development of clinical staff, including preserving competency through education and collaboration with Clinical Education and Hospital Engagement teams. - Evaluates staff performance in coordination with leadership, providing feedback, completing reviews, and assisting with disciplinary actions while modeling organizational core values. - Coordinates team operations, including scheduling on-call rotations, overseeing living donation processes, and managing organ recovery supplies and office functions. - Serves in key clinical and leadership roles such as Organ Preservation Advisor on Call (AOC), and provides coverage for organ preservation during high-demand periods. - Leads quality improvement efforts, facilitates team meetings, and ensures effective systems training (e.g., TransNet) and continuous enhancement of clinical practices. 2. Training in Compliance with Regulatory Guidelines - Partners with the Clinical Education team to support training operations, develop and update training materials, and implement continuing education programs and competencies for Preservation Coordinators and clinical staff. - Supports onboarding and mentorship of new clinical staff, facilitates completion of training requirements (e.g., lectures, exams, didactic sessions), and provides ongoing feedback to ensure timely progress and competency development. 3. Administrative - Reviews and approves timecards of assigned team members. - Assists in the coordination and revisions of the on-call scheduling of all recovery as needed. - Assists in the implementation of strategic planning with department and organizational leadership. - Based on quality reviews of preservation processes, make recommendations to the Manager, Organ Utilization and/or Manager, Quality & Regulatory Compliance for quality improvement projects 4.
