From this vantage point, our team has developed proprietary ASC ownership models that give both physicians and hospitals what they need to ensure long-term clinical and financial success. **POSITION SUMMARY:** The primary responsibilities of the role include all aspects of processing, decontamination through set assembly, and sterilization and/or high-level disinfection. Dependent on the clinical setting preparation of surgical case carts and materials management may be expectations of the role. **DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Separate and prepare contaminated instrumentation for cleaning. - Prepare, install, assemble, clean, and sterilize/disinfect operating room or procedure room - equipment and instrumentation and medical devices. - Decontaminate, process, sterilize/disinfect, and distribute medical supplies. - Inspect and perform functional checks on instrumentation/equipment to assure proper - functioning prior to set/tray assembly. - Process, wrap, and label all equipment and instrumentation for sterilization using appropriate - wraps and containers. - Perform proper documentation as it relates to the sterilization/HLD process. - Perform all duties relating to daily maintenance for all types of sterilizers/re-processors. - Communicate departmental equipment and supply needs to appropriate supervisor. - Perform other duties as assigned. **EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE** **REQUIRED:** - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of Sterile Processing education from an accredited school or training program - Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Board of Sterile - Processing and Distribution (CSPDT). - BLS certification (as required by individual ASC policy) **PREFERRED:** - Experience in a sterile processing department - Ambulatory Surgery Center experience
