Transferable Skills: - Communication - Attention to detail - Analytical skills - Problem Solving Duties and Responsibilities: Duties vary daily, but can include: - Building scenery using an assortment of power and hand tools - Painting scenery - Installing scenery on the Kelsey or Haugen stages - Finding or building props as needed for department productions - Assisting in keeping the theaters and storage areas organized Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) Theatrical knowledge and/or woodworking experience is helpful but not necessary. Must be willing to use large power tools and do heavy, physical labor. Work will take place weekdays from 9 am – 1 pm, Aug 24 – 31. Physical and Environmental Factors: This position requires crouching, kneeling/crawling, stooping, twisting/pivoting, climbing/balancing, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs., operating hand tools, operating power tools, and operating equipment or machinery to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise, respiratory factors, chemicals, vibrations, proximity hazards, and heights or cramped quarters, as well as rare exposure to wet or humid conditions indoors and extreme heat to perform the essential functions. Protective equipment is required for some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
