This is an on campus position. Remote teaching is no available. Essential Duties, Roles, Responsibilities and Competencies - Model Lasallian Vincentian charisms; - Support SHC’s mission, philosophy and [Integral Student Outcomes](https://www.shcp.edu/about-shc/expected-schoolwide-learning-results); - Facilitate students’ critical thinking through inquiry and research; - Develop students’ analytical and communication abilities through document analysis, evidence-based writing, projects, simulations, and discussion; - Prepare future citizens to be curious about the world, to contribute to the common good, and to appreciate and respect diverse cultures and eras; - Maintain an interactive and timely learning environment, in both physical and virtual learning spaces (Schoology); - Communicate consistently with students, parents, and school personnel; - Keep current and complete digital grading and attendance records; Required Qualifications - Undergraduate degree in related subject; - Teaching credential or working towards it; single-subject teaching credential in Social Studies preferred; - Experience working with high school students from diverse backgrounds; - Ability to work independently and collaboratively to promote student learning. Desired Qualifications - Master’s Degree; - Experience teaching in a Catholic high school setting.
