**POSITION SUMMARY:** This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Direct department program operations that are known to encourage physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth in a safe and nurturing environment that is recognized as meeting accreditation standards. **QUALIFICATIONS:** - Must be 21 years of age. - Must have a bachelor’s degree in outdoor education, recreation, coaching, juvenile justice, social work, psychology, child development, or education, or another camp-related field; The Wisconsin Afterschool and Youth Development Credential; or two or more years of supervisory or administrative experience in an organized camp or children's program. - Level 12 on the Wisconsin Registry. - Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in program administration/education required. Staff management experience, preferred. - Knowledge of state childcare licensing, NAC and Young Star accreditation requirements. - Certifications that must be obtained and maintained within first 90 days: CPR, AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication. - Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.
