SUE Technician

**Job Title: SUE Technician \*\*\*Work Location: Atlanta, GA \*\*\*Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview** **Duties/Responsibilities:** - Perform subsurface utility investigations using ground-penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation techniques. - Accurately locate and identify underground utilities, such as gas, electric, water, and telecommunications lines. - Prepare and interpret field sketches, utility drawings, and as-built data. - Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other field staff to ensure accurate reporting and safe excavation practices. - Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and industry standards. - Assist with the preparation of reports, deliverables, and field notes. - Maintain equipment and vehicles in a clean and functional condition. **Education/Experience:** - Highschool diploma or GED equivalent - 1-2 years of experience in SUE, utility locating, or a related field. - Familiarity with SUE methods, including QL-B, QL-C, QLD and QL-A. - Ability to read and interpret construction and utility plans. - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Willingness to work in various weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed. - Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. - **Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check** **Physical Requirements:** - Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments - Ability to carry required instruments and equipment - Ability to lift 50 pounds - Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. - The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat. **Benefits**: - Competitive salary based on experience. - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. - Retirement savings plan with company match. - Paid time off and holidays. - Professional development and career advancement opportunities. - A supportive and collaborative work environment.
