## Description **Substitute Teacher** Randolph School is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with students at all levels, from Pre-Kindergarten to Upper School. **We're looking for people who:** - enjoy working with children and adolescents - are flexible and friendly - can establish quick rapport with students - are available at least two days per week during the school year **Primary Job Responsibilities:** - Provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans - Create a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students - Maintain a safe and orderly environment - Maintain established routine of the school and classroom procedures as assigned - Maintain a professional appearance as an example to students - Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities - Maintain reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility - Communicate effectively with parents when needed - Complete other duties as assigned **Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred, 60 credits from a regionally accredited college or university required - Above-average competency in a subject area preferred *As a member institution, Randolph School is committed to the principles of diversity as stated by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
