## Overview The Head Start Program is seeking dependable and flexible Substitute Teachers/Aides to support classroom operations as needed. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and consistent learning environment for young children when regular staff are unavailable. ## Description **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times - Assist in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities - Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth - Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment - Follow Head Start Performance Standards and program policies - Communicate effectively with staff and program leadership ## Requirements **Qualifications:** - High School Diploma or GED required - Experience working with young children preferred - Ability to be flexible and adapt to different classroom settings - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Must pass required background checks
