We prepare students for successful careers through hands-on skills and learning opportunities. ## What You'll Do As a Substitute Cosmetology Instructor, you'll provide instructional support and help maintain an engaging, professional, and productive learning environment. Key responsibilities include: - Assisting students with curriculum questions, coursework, and practical learning activities. - Presenting organized learning opportunities aligned with approved course outlines and instructional objectives. - Supporting classroom, laboratory, and salon-based instruction as directed by faculty. - Maintaining accountability and supervision of students in classrooms, labs, and salon environments. - Adapting equipment, materials, and demonstrations to support specific learning objectives. - Promoting professionalism, customer service, safety, sanitation, and industry best practices. - Ensuring the safe use of instructional facilities, tools, equipment, and supplies. - Maintaining an organized, positive, and disciplined learning environment. - Communicating effectively with students, faculty, and staff. - Assisting with administrative and clerical tasks as needed. - Supporting the overall success of the Cosmetology program and student learning experience. ## What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a skilled cosmetology professional who is passionate about education, creativity, and student success. ### Preferred Qualifications - Current Utah Cosmetology License in good standing. - Professional experience in cosmetology, salon operations, or a related beauty industry field. - Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience is preferred. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to effectively demonstrate cosmetology techniques and industry best practices. - Commitment to maintaining a professional, positive, and student-centered learning environment. - Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. - Basic computer proficiency, including email and standard office software applications. - Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and experience levels. ## Why Join Us?
