The Studio Intern at Sony Music Publishing UK will be a key role within our team. The tasks that are assigned to this job are fundamental to the team and the way we work. You will work alongside the Studio Manager to ensure the smooth running of the SMP studios. We expect our intern to become as much a part of the team as anybody else, meaning your ideas and input into everything we do. Role Overview: Ways of Working Office attendance: 3 to 4 days in the London office Flexibility: Varying office days subject to studio capacity and volume of sessions Offsite working: This role is mainly situated in the Sony Music Publishing office however there is a possibility of external studio engineering What you'll do Undertake responsibilities including hardware maintenance, equipment setup, engineering, operating DAWs, microphones setup, outboard configuration, midi, file management Taking artists through sessions in a professional, efficient and considerate manner, providing their technical assistance in setting up any software or hardware including patching Studio troubleshooting and being able to handle client facing hospitality-based responsibilities in the studio Coordinate with writers and provide a reliable source of assistance throughout their time in the SMP Studio spaces Liaison with the Studio Manager with regard to day-to-day activities Who you are: Essential Engineering vocals and instruments in a studio environment You must have great communication skills essential (Approachable, helpful, conscientious) Highly organised, resourceful and focused Delivering audio from recorded sessions You are able to work autonomously and maintain productivity without instruction Time management and multi-tasking in high pressure situations Cultural awareness and sensitivity Knowledge of studio equipment and audio engineering technique Nice to have Experience in post production and/or music studios Previous assistant work Ability to play one or multiple instruments Pro Tools experience Live sound experience Bilingual What we give you: An annual salary of £28,480 (London Living Wage) You join a vibrant global community with the opportunity to channel your passion every day A modern office environment designed for you, empowering you to bring your best Investment in your professional growth and development such as focused workshops and a dedicated mentor, enabling you to thri…
