ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The University & Community Events Office operates the Concession Stand in the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts. POSITION SUMMARY, ROUTINE TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist with operations and management of concession stand and staff. - Assist with maintaining appearance/cleanliness of concession stand. - Assist with inventory of supplies. - Must get a SafeServe certificate (will be completed once hired) - Opening and closing of concession stand and following procedures. - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Heavy lifting (up to 25 pounds) - May work nights and evenings - Must be able to adhere to all safety standards and work practices established by the university. - Must be able to stand for long periods of time. - Considerable lifting, bending, and walking are required to successfully do this job. - High School Diploma or GED - Registered full-time SSU student - Eligible to work in the United States - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and follow instructions - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms - Follow SSU dress code policy
