Structural Welders

**Location:** Shelbyville, KY **Project Duration:** 10 weeks/2.5 months **Pay Rate:** $30/hour (based on experience) **Schedule:** 40 Hours per Week ## Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Structural Mig and Stick welders for a shop job Shelbyville, KY. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, and performing welds using Mig and/or Stick welding process. ## ## Key Responsibilities - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication plans - Fit and assemble structural steel components according to specifications - Perform Mig and/or Stick welding to secure assemblies - Verify measurements, alignments, and tolerances for accuracy - Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met - Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment - Work effectively with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines ## ## Requirements - Previous experience as a Structural Welder in a shop - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings - Experience using common fabrication tools and measuring equipment - Must possess a 25-foot tape measure and needle-nose pliers - Ability to work overtime and maintain reliable attendance - Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and background check - Reliable transportation - Strong work ethic and commitment to safety ## ## Benefits - 401(k) - Health Insurance - Dental Insurance - Vision Insurance - Paid Time Off - Referral Program If you are an experienced Structural Welder looking for steady work, overtime opportunities, and a long-term project, apply today!
