**Job Summary:** An **Assembly Team Leader** within Lotis Technologies is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing of products within the plant are carried out safely and efficiently, and with strict adherence to quality standards. Leaders of the production teams are expected to have strong leadership skills; they are expected to direct, manage, correct, and motivate the members of their team to achieve efficiency and maintain morale within the department. ***Duties/Responsibilities*** - Review production requirements, safety issues and emerging issues while offering solutions. - Schedule team members and jobs to achieve production requirements. - Help identify and implement improvements in the production process. - Compare performance with planned action and take corrective action, including discipline when necessary. - Make decisions on production related items such as setups, tool selection, materials, methods, manpower requirements and machine selection. - Review work instructions with team members daily. - Track time/attendance, providing required action for missed time, while adhering to attendance policy. - Assure employees have proper equipment to complete job requirements. - Report maintenance problems/needs to maintenance and production manager. - Conduct regular performance reviews for your team members. ***Required Skills/Abilities:*** - Assure a safe workplace and comply with MIOSHA and Company standards. - Assure production is completed within specifications to meet customer requirements. - Promote teamwork to achieve goals and grow the skill set of your team members. - Understanding of performance metrics ***Education and Experience:*** - High school diploma or equivalent - 5 or more years of job-related experience working in a production environment - 1 year of supervisory experience ***Supervisory Responsibilities:*** - Yes ***Physical Requirements:*** - Must be able to work in noisy environments. - Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. - Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access all parts of the machine. This role is accountable for all aspects of department performance including safety & environmental, quality, reliability, production, and productivity.
