The Marine Corps Half Marathon is just one of our premiere sports events, and others include course challenges, soccer, triathlon, boxing, pickleball, softball, basketball, disc golf and other tournaments. **Streets Division:** Coordinates maintenance for all City-owned streets, sidewalks, and related infrastructure. - Asphalt preventative maintenance, construction, repair, and correction - Curb and gutter repair - Pothole repair - Sidewalk maintenance, repair, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramp construction - Soil road repair and stabilization The Jacksonville Streets Division also oversees mosquito spraying and street sweeping, and also works with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to assure that streetlamps and state roadways in the City are well maintained. **General Description:** The City of Jacksonville is seeking an energetic leader to serve as a Crew Leader in the Streets Division. Crew Leaders typically have a working knowledge of asphalt, concrete and construction repair of roads, sidewalks, ditches and catch basins. The Streets Crew Leader performs difficult skilled work supervising and participating in the work of a maintenance, repair or construction crew; does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision. The starting salary is expected to be in the range of $48,598.90 - $63,178.57 depending on experience and education.** **Planning, overseeing and supervising the work of a crew preparing, maintaining or repairing municipal facilities and systems including streets, utilities and drainage facilities; operating construction or maintenance equipment; maintaining records and files; preparing reports.** *(These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed.
