About the Role: Loopio is seeking a talented Strategic Finance Associate to join our Finance team and contribute to our continued growth and success. As a Strategic Finance Associate at Loopio, you will be an integral part of our Finance team, working closely with our business partners to develop and execute financial strategies that drive the company’s growth and success. You will have the opportunity to analyze financial data, provide actionable insights, and contribute to critical financial decisions. This role reports to the Strategic Finance Manager. Note: This is an existing vacancy on the team What You’ll Be Doing - Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including but not limited to financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide insights into financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities. - Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with overall business goals. - Budgeting and Forecasting: Support in the budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including gathering input from various departments, creating and updating financial models, and tracking performance against budget. - Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to drive informed decision-making. Present findings and recommendations to Leadership, alongside the broader Strategic Finance team. - Financial Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports and presentations to management, shareholders, and other stakeholders. Develop and design new internal and external reporting packages and dashboards. - Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with relevant teams to implement efficiency measures without compromising key objectives. - Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and provide recommendations for improvements. - Ad Hoc Analysis: Assist in ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required. What You’ll Bring to the Team - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (CPA or Master's degree preferred). - 3+ years of experience in a combination of Audit at a Big 4 firm, FP&A, or Accounting. - Experience in financial modeling and analysis, forecasting, and budgeting strongly preferred. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to confidently interact with an executive level audience. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop conclusions and explain key takeaways and recommendations. - Detail-oriented and proactive, able to work both independently and in a team. - Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills. - Great time management and prioritization skills, including the ability to balance multiple projects. - Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides) and Finance systems (Netsuite, Cube, etc.) considered an asset. Where You’ll Work 📍 - We are currently only looking for candidates who reside in the Greater Toronto Area and can access our co-working space in Downtown Toronto for the occasional Finance Team get-together. - Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly.
