This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of technical work, fieldwork, environmental compliance, and working with others to solve problems.** **In this role, you will help protect local water quality while supporting responsible development throughout the community. Your work may include reviewing plans and calculations, conducting inspections, coordinating stormwater compliance programs, responding to drainage concerns, and working with engineers, contractors, property owners, businesses, and partner agencies.** **We are looking for someone who can balance multiple priorities, apply sound judgment, and communicate technical information clearly. Experience with stormwater design, hydrology and hydraulics, erosion control, construction inspection, environmental compliance, or water-quality programs is especially helpful.Depending on qualifications, the position may be filled at the Engineering Technician III or IV level.** **Required Education and Experience****:** - High school diploma or GED equivalent; and - Years of experience - Engineering Technician III must have at least four (4) years of engineering or related technical experience. - Engineering Technician IV must have at least six (6) years of progressively responsible engineering technical experience. - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, surveying, construction management, computer science, environmental science, or specific area of study as deemed applicable may substitute for four (4) years of experience; or, - Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the specialized duties of the position as those listed above. - Possession of a valid driver’s license by date of hire.
