Story Medical is seeking a dedicated **Sterile Processing Technician** to join our surgical services team. In this essential role, you will ensure surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and ready for patient care. If you are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment, we'd love to hear from you! ## What You'll Do As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will: - Decontaminate, inspect, clean, assemble, package, sterilize, store, and distribute reusable surgical instruments and medical equipment. - Operate and monitor sterilization and decontamination equipment, including biological and chemical testing, to ensure quality and safety standards are met. - Inspect instrument sets for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness before distribution. - Prepare and deliver sterile supplies and equipment to support surgical and clinical departments in a timely manner. - Maintain inventory by stocking, labeling, organizing, and replenishing sterile supplies and equipment. - Identify malfunctioning equipment, coordinate repairs or replacements, and remove defective items from service. - Maintain accurate documentation and comply with infection prevention, regulatory, and hospital policies. - Protect the confidentiality of all patient, employee, and organizational information. ## Qualifications ### Required - High School diploma or GED. - Sterile Processing certification or ability to obtain certification within **6 months of start date.** - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within **60 days of hire**. - Legal authorization to work in the United States. ### Preferred - Previous experience in sterile processing, surgical services, or a healthcare setting. - Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization methods, and infection prevention practices. ## Why Story Medical?
