Job Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Architects, QA, Product, Documentation, and UX teams) to ideate, design and implement features that drive the core authentication experience for users in the Workforce and Customer identity landscape Propose and align on technical strategy and tactical/long term roadmap Produce technical designs, proposals, and architectural decisions Develop high-quality, maintainable software components with comprehensive unit/functional tests Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and security best practices Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team Mentor and coach junior engineers Minimum Requirements : 12+ years of strong hands-on experience designing & developing enterprise software using Java with Springboot Deep proficiency in object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, server-side technologies, distributed system concepts(caching, asynchronous processing, multi-threading) and performance optimization Expert understanding of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization protocols (FIDO2/WebAuthn, SSO, OAuth, OIDC, SAML etc.), and identity management concepts Experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems and RESTful APIs Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting complex java codebase Passionate about writing clean, maintainable and scalable code with a deep focus on security Solid experience with cloud infrastructure platforms particularly AWS and GCP and databases Proven experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with cross-functional(Product/Design/QA) and geo-distributed teams Lead and mentor junior engineers Nice to have : Experience with phishing-resistant authentications such as Passkeys, Smart Card or Okta FastPass Some experience with basic UI development Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sci…
