Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go. 5 years of experience working with cloud computing technologies or related technical fields. 3 years of experience applying machine learning or artificial intelligence techniques. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience in, or supporting the financial services industry. Experience with code hosting platform. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Drive an experienced machine learning engineer to help generate experiments across a broad range of topics. Help evaluate technical problems and find a path forward that can be evaluated quickly. Collaborate with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) product and engineering teams, Google research teams, and GCP customers to find applied uses for the latest in generative AI and machine learning technologies. Help set the cultural tone for the team around teamwork, innovation and collaboration, and help develop our team’s ambitious strategy.
