This position is classified as full-time.** Employees in this classification receive limited supervision from a variety of mid- mangers within a framework of standards policies and procedures. Under general supervision performs and assists in a wide variety of confidential, complex and technical paraprofessional tasks related to departmental activities, operations and programs. Collects, compiles and processes a wide variety of data for research and analytical functions and associated tasks. - ## Detailed Work Activities - **ESSENTIAL DUTIES:** Essential job duties may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. Prepares financial and special reports based upon collected data and other sources providing recommendation on the basis of analysis and evaluation. Performs the analytical tasks necessary to determine feasibility and obtains proper authorization and funding for the development of programs and services. Collects, analyzes and evaluates information and data regarding various departmental programs, policies and procedures. Participates and assists in the development and maintenance of the annual budget including development of budgets, monitoring revenues and expenditures, reviewing departmental claims, etc. Prepares narrative and statistical reports summarizing studies and outline alternatives. Presents oral, written and graphic reports to various boards and/or commissions. Performs research and analysis on complex and sensitive areas within department structure, functions, projects, etc., as assigned. Prepares and submits timely mandated reports pertaining to departmental function(s) as needed to comply with federal and state laws. Coordinates, prepares and/or provides technical assistance in the preparation of departmental contracts. Acts as an information source regarding general departmental information and routine policies and procedures.
