Staff RN - Emergency Dept.

## Description Assumes the responsibility for providing professional care to a designated patient population. - Directs patient-care according to medical center policies/procedures and accepted standard of practice and care. - Conducts patient assessments, including history and physical. - Administers and records prescribed medications, treatments and procedures. - Assists the medical staff with examinations, treatments, special tests and procedures. - Participates in unit activities such as answering phones, EMS radio communication, environmental tasks or any other assigned duties. - Conducts shift reports. ## Requirements - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Minimum one year RN experience preferred. - Current MS RN license required. - Current CPR, ACLS, PALS & TNCC certifications or must obtain within one year of employment. - Able to read and write the English language. - Demonstrates proficiency of skills per checklist. - Must pass a written pharmacology exam. - Able to perform considerable standing, walking and lifting. - Maintains good physical and emotional health. - Demonstrates ability and cooperation in rotation of shift and/or duty areas. - Promotes harmonious inter- and intra-departmental relationships.
