ABOUT THIS ROLE: As Staff Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, Deployment - you will be a deployment and execution lead for the "nervous system" of Crusoe’s hyperscale data centers. You will spearhead the installation and integration of the sophisticated BMS/EPMS and SCADA solutions that allow us to monitor and control our high-performance computing environments with surgical precision. This role is fundamental to Crusoe’s mission: by successfully bringing online and integrating field-level HVAC, electrical, and monitoring infrastructure into a seamless, operational fabric, you ensure our AI-optimized cloud remains resilient, efficient, and scalable from day one. This leadership position demands a technical authority who can bridge the gap between engineering design and on-site field execution. You won't just be maintaining systems; you will be driving complex rollouts, overseeing contractor integration, and implementing the deployment standards and commissioning frameworks that scale our global footprint. We are seeking a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is passionate about bringing automated systems to life, working with others, and driving consistency and efficiencies across our startup through operational handover. What You’ll Be Working On: - System Deployment & Execution: Lead the field deployment, integration, and startup of automation solutions for BMS/EPMS systems, ensuring seamless integration and monitor with electrical, and cooling infrastructure. - Standardization & Implementation: Enforce system standards, frameworks, and deployment patterns for controls, BMS, and EPMS rollouts across multiple projects and sites. - SCADA & Graphics Configuration: Deploy and configure dashboards, HMIs, and operator workstations, ensuring site personnel have clear, functional visibility and control over complex building and power systems. - Startup Governance & Escalation Resolution: Oversee system integrators during standard deployments and point-to-point checkouts to ensure strict compliance with design standards, and operate as the controls escalation point to troubleshoot complex automation integration, system inconsistencies, and network integration issues. - Protocol Integration & Troubleshooting: Collaborate with design engineers, contractors, and OEM partners in the field to configure, integrate, and troubleshoot networks utilizing BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols. - Site Validation & Handover: Conduct system testing, simulation, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to validate functionality, sequencing, and data accuracy prior to operational handover. - System Optimization & Turnover: Ensure controls platforms correctly collect and push real-time and hi…
