Staff Engineer, HBM Customer Systems Validation

Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing. **As a Senior HBM Customer Systems Validation Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will:** - Be responsible for system-level validation, failure analysis, characterization, and experimentation of customer systems - Run and configure diagnostic software, design experiments, analyze and interpret data, creating custom tools (Hardware and Software), presenting data to customers both inside and outside Micron - Provide technical customer integration support at customer locations. To accomplish these responsibilities, you will use a variety of equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, multi-meters, etc.) - Work with customers and memory enablers like GPU manufacturers to attain design wins and qualifications of Micron memory products in their applications - You will work with other engineers within the HBM team, Product Engineering, FAE, Quality Assurance, and business unit teams **Debug Micron Product Customer Failures** - Provide technical support to customers and the field sales - Utilize diagnostics to reproduce the original failure - Identify failure mechanism - Collaborate with Product Engineering and Return Material Authorization (RMA) - Provide 8D or failure documentation for customer failure resolution - Implement fixes for fails (design or process) **Design and Implement Micron System Tools** - Create test scripts for a variety of applications - Create and modify hardware that controls test parameters (i.e. temperature or voltage) - Support internal customer diagnostics software and hardware tools within Micron labs - Interface with external customer to create intelligent DOE (design of experiments) **Perform System Characterization** - Use software, Internal logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other tools to understand system memory usage - Develop software to interpret data - Collaborating with Product and Application Engineering - Communicating results with cross-functional teams and customers **Successful candidates will have, but not limited to:** - **A Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or an equivalent field) with >4 years of experience or >3 years of experience respectively,** both requiring a balanced hardware and software skill set. - Experience working and programming with Linux, Python/C/C++, version control systems (git, svn) - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Works well in a team environment - Good communication, data analytics and presentation skills - Basic understanding of DRAM operations and computer networking - Self-motivation and passion **Successful candidates suggested to have but not required:** - Experience in bios/linux driver development/debug - Understanding of system architecture and memory subsystem - Comfortable working with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, protocol analyzers, soldering equipment, etc - Previous experience validating products with both hardware/firmware/software components - Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work. **About Micron Technology, Inc.** We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life *for all*.
