As a **Staff Accountant** in our Finance function within the Spine division, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis, and support for monthly consolidations, while contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements. **What You’ll Do:** - Serve as the primary contact for the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of Spine financial results - Prepare and analyze monthly management reporting for Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow statements - Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and conduct detailed financial analysis - Provide analytical support during the annual budget and planning processes - Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and external financial statement audits - Prepare Federal, State, and other tax packages and filings - Identify and implement process improvement initiatives for journals, reconciliations, and reporting - Respond to ad-hoc financial analysis and information requests from business unit leaders - Collaborate with internal teams to promote a culture of inclusiveness, cooperation, and high performance - Champion VB Spine’s Values: Integrity, Accountability, People, and Performance - Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller or Manager **What You Bring:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting or Finance required - 2–3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience - Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including designing, building, and maintaining complex files - Solid understanding of accounting principles and their application - Ability to analyze and resolve complex accounting issues using independent judgment - Experience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion Financials is a strong plus - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines - Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels - CPA (or working toward designation) is an asset **Why VB Spine?** We believe in growing talent from within.
