We pride ourselves on innovation, quality, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while creating an environment where our associates can grow and succeed. **The Role** The Transportation Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Transportation Department at our Bronx FDC location. This includes managing shift operations, field execution, fleet and facilities oversight, and process optimization. This role drives performance across service, cost, and team development while ensuring a consistent, high-quality delivery experience for our customers. **What You’ll Do** - Oversee day-to-day transportation operations, including dispatch, field execution, and fleet management - Manage labor planning, scheduling, and departmental budgets, including overtime control - Drive service excellence by improving on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and reducing complaints and credits - Lead, coach, and develop transportation teams and administrative staff to achieve high performance - Conduct field audits and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels - Ensure consistent execution of company policies, procedures, and safety standards - Monitor and respond to on-road operations, customer issues, and employee concerns in real time - Build a culture focused on accountability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement - Support recruiting efforts, including interviewing and conducting road tests as needed - Foster employee engagement, morale, and recognition initiatives within the department - Maintain strong relationships with customers and the local community - Participate in community events and support local marketing initiatives - Lead and execute operational projects independently with minimal supervision **What You’ll Bring** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field - 10+ years of professional experience, including: - - 5+ years in transportation, logistics, or dispatch operations - 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role - CDL A or B license preferred - Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills - Proven ability to manage budgets, labor, and operational performance metrics - Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - High level of organization and attention to detail - Strong customer service mindset with a sense of urgency - Commitment to professional growth, mentoring, and continuous learning **Values** - Customer First - Accountability & Ownership - Teamwork & Collaboration - Integrity & Transparency - Continuous Improvement **What You’ll Love** - Working in a fast-paced, innovative eCommerce environment - Leading high-impact operations that directly influence customer experience - Opportunities to develop and grow your leadership career - Being part of a collaborative team that values your ideas and contributions **Salary** The salary range for this role is $85,000 – $100,000.
